Joel Clark

Since graduating from Central St. Martins in 1996, I have worked within creative industries - mainly as a Creative in advertising.

I worked in London, Melbourne and Dublin, before returning to London, where, in the depths of recession I filled time by picking up a paint brush again.

I have since developed the idea of using vinyl and now work as a full time Artist, working in the very medium I used in my first job. It's with the skills I learnt back in 1990, of hand-cutting vinyl that brought me full-circle to creating vinyl sculptures.

This unique medium gives many qualities that aren't usually seen together. A mix of bold colours with a hand-crafted finish. It creates a hyper-realism Pop Art that transforms objects (vehicle parts) into pieces that look surreal.
